Commissioned for a private royal celebration at the Royal Palace in Eswatini, the project involved the development of sculptural paper dresses and floral installations created for the palace ballroom.

The work developed through accumulation, allowing repetition to produce form.

Individual petal-like components became the building blocks of larger structures, gradually accumulating into garments with presence and volume.

Two dresses were developed as focal pieces within the celebration. Each element needed to retain a sense of lightness while contributing to the integrity of the overall silhouette. The process demanded hundreds of repeated forms assembled into compositions that could hold their own within the scale and formality of the setting.

Viewed up close, the dresses revealed themselves through pattern and texture. From a distance, those same details dissolved into sculptural form.
