Commissioned for SARIE Magazine’s Valentine’s edition in collaboration with Nataniël.
How could familiar Valentine's motifs extend across every part of the commission without becoming repetitive?
Hearts, florals, and decorative details were reinterpreted through cutting, folding, and construction of paper, allowing the same approach to shape wearable pieces, sculptural objects, cover imagery, and stage installations.
Each application responded to a different purpose, yet all belonged to the same body of work. A heart could become structure, florals could define space, and ornamental details could move seamlessly between object, body, and image.
Developing every element from the same material created a recognisable identity that remained consistent across the entire commission.
