Developed as an editorial series for Avant Apparel.

The editorial brought together garments with very different silhouettes, each requiring its own pace and direction while remaining part of a single series.

Direction became the primary tool for creating that variation. Small changes in posture, movement, and timing allowed each image to develop its own character without relying on different locations or elaborate staging. One frame captured the urgency of fastening a coat while walking. Another waited for the precise moment a dress settled back against the body. More structured garments demanded stillness, allowing their shape and proportion to define the image.

Working exclusively in black and white removed colour as a point of difference, placing greater emphasis on gesture, composition and silhouette throughout the editorial.

The result is a series that moves confidently between different moods while remaining part of the same body of work.
